Flat Ceramics
With the Flat series, Josefin Tolstoy's design language takes on a new dimension – as silhouettes in the form of vases and sculptures. The vision has been to create three-dimensional shapes, originating from her paintings, that work both individually and in groups – objects that carry their own presence, even without flowers.
The collection is launched in two series:
A warm, earthy palette in shades of rust, terracotta, and iron that reflects Josefin's own color landscape.
The second series consists of matte black silhouettes – a quiet shadow that highlights the sculptural form.
Flat was born from a desire to give silhouettes from my paintings a body – threedimensional forms that move between vase and sculpture, alone or together.
